Forum Marketing is one way to actually market you by using your knowledge and experience to attract people. Once they see you over and over in the forums it is only a matter of time when they do want to know more about you.

A few are great in copy writing and write killer articles, blogs or sales letters.

Ezine marketing is also something to look into but it does cost money and if you can't write a good ad it is going to be worthless.

Email marketing has its charm as long as it doesn't fall into spamming, but you must have a common sense of how to write a good title and content email.

Social Networking Sites, well that requires the most work and consistency on a daily basis, requesting contacts, communicating with your contacts etc, but it does work if you do it right. 

And then there are the Marketers who actually have money in their pockets and do pay-per-click marketing, but like you know it could run your budget into the ground.

Those are only a few strategies I personally use, but of course there are many more. 

Web 2.0 marketing is the cheapest way to go, and if you are good in one or two of the Web2.0 strategies it can be raining money upon you and you never spend a lot of money. And perhaps it might be free.

But you have to find your strongest skill first, and that is why you have to give yourself at least 30-60 days to try all strategies and basically find one or two you like and stick with it.

Your online marketing strategies must be based on your knowledge and strength and you must find your own field. It will take time but I promise that you will find it, if you are willing to look for it.
